- Species - Gender - Reason
- Butterfree: ♂ - Falls in love with a pink Butterfree.
- Pikachu: ♂ - Dawn's Buneary has fallen in love with him.
- Pidgeot: ♂? - Insufficient data and Pidgeot has no sexual dimorphisms! >:( Maybe male?
- Bulbasaur: ♂ - Seem to have been attracted to May's Bulbasaur.
- Charizard: ♂ - Fell in love with a Charizard with a bow.
- Kingler: ♂? - Insufficient data and Kingler has no sexual dimorphisms! >:( Maybe male?
- Primape: ♂ - Most likely, though Primapes show no sexual dimorphism...
- Tauroses: ♂ - Tauros are only male.
- Muk: ♂ - Most likely.
Orange Islands
- Lapras: ♂? - Insufficient data and Lapras show no sexual dimorphism. Maybe male?
- Snorlax: ♂ - Most likely.

- Bayleef: ♀ - VERY jealous of Ash, esp. when he pays attention to his other Pokemon.

- Swellow: ♂ - Most likely.
- Sceptile: ♂ - Falls in love with a female Meganium.
- Corphish: ♂ - Falls in love with a female Mawhile.
- Torkoal: ♂? - Unknown... maybe male?
- Glalie: ♂ - Most likely, even though Froslass didn't exist then!

- Staravia: ♂ - The spot on its head gives it away.
- Grotle: ♂ - Most likely.
- Chimchar: ♀ - Most likely because of its seiyū. Acts sensitive towards Paul.
- Buizel: ♂ - NO arguments here! He has two spots on his back and he also acts like a guy.
- Gliscor: ♂ - Most likely, despite acting very affectionate to Ash.
Misty's Pokemon
- Goldeen: ♀ - Most likely.
- Staryu: None - They don't have genders. <_< No fair! How can they mate?
- Starmie: None - Same as above!
- Horsea: ♂ - Even said so in the anime (though I don't remember that).
- Psyduck: ♂ - Deeply cares about her!
- Politoad: ♂ - Most likely, has a male seiyū.
- Cosola: ♀ - Most likely, they're a female dominating species.
- Gyarados: ♂ - Most likely, has a male seiyū. (I know sexual dimorphism wasn't in 1st or 2nd Gen, but it does have blue tentacles [the ones on its face]).
- Luvdisc (aka Casserin): ♂ - That's a no-brainer. Its name is male and falls in love with a female Luvdisc.
- Azurill: ♀ - Most likely, they're a female dominating species.
- Togetic: ♂ - Most likely, they're a male dominating species. (Released).
- Seaking: ? - Unknown... probably released it after catching it...
- Golduck: ♂ - No-brainer. Loves to be with women. (Befriended).
Brock's Pokemon
- Sudowoodo: ♂ - Seems to have bonded with Happiny, sleeping and dancing with her.
- Croagunk: ♂ - Seems to be jealous of him when he's around women!
- Happiny: ♀ - No brainer... Happiny are ONLY female.
- Steelix: ♂ - Most likely, has a male seiyū.
- Geodude: ♂ - Most likely, has a male seiyū.
- Crobat: ♂ - No-brainer. Falls in love with a female Zubat named Mimi.
- Forretress: ♂ - Most likely, has a male seiyū.
- Marshtomp: ♂ - No-brainer. Falls in love with a female Flaafy.
- Ludicolo: ♂ - No-brainer. Falls in love with a female Mawhile.
- Vulpix: ♀ - Most likely, has a female seiyū.
Dawn's Pokemon
- Ambipom: ♀ - Even said so in the anime, dresses up in cheerleader uniforms and loves contests. Had a crush on Ash and loves contests more than battling.
- Piplup: ♀ - Most likely, has worn cheerleader uniforms, but blushes when it's in a maid's uniform. Even has a female seiyū.
- Buneary: ♀ - No-brainer. Falls in love with Ash's Pikachu and even wears dresses and cheerleader uniforms.
- Pachirisu: ♀ - Most likely, wears dresses and cheerleader uniforms. But the blue stripe may prove otherwise...
- Swinub: ♀ - Most likely... even has a female seiyū.
