The Desktop

Your desktop after a fresh install

This brings you to Switchboard, Faraday Anywhere's desktop. This is where shortcuts to 12 frequently used applications can be placed and accessed, and also is where the major functions of the environment can be used.

Application Shortcuts

Switchboard is comprised of 12 selectable and fully editable spaces for holding application shortcuts. These spaces can contain an icon and 2 lines for a label as well as the location of the application. Both BASIC and assembly programs can be run from the desktop.

The Status Bar

The status bar is located at the bottom of the screen at all times, in all applications aside from those not designed for Faraday or fullscreen applications. This area contains the application name, the network connection type [which can be '---' for no connection, 'I/O' for a connection to the I/O port, or 'USB' for a USB connection], the battery status, and a clock [which displays the date after pressing F5 while on the desktop].
The date.
