Uchiha Sasuke

Uchiha Sasuke (うちはサスケ) is a character from the Naruto anime and manga. He turns from Hero to Villain when he joins Orochimaru and Otogakure in search for power. He is usually in the top 10 of the Shonen Jump Character polls usually in 4th.

[edit] Backstory
Uchiha Sasuke is perhaps the youngest member of the Uchiha clan. When he was only 8 years old, his older brother Uchiha Itachi murdered all of his family and escaped. Itachi then joined Akatsuki. He lived the rest of his childhood as an orphan. He was considered a genous ninja, he got excellent grades in the Academy. When he graduated, he was paired with Uzumaki Naruto and Haruno Sakura, led by Hatake Kakashi.

Journey to the Mist Country
Team 7 goes to the Mist Country to carry out a mission set to them by Tazuna the bridge builder. They are encountered by an assasin named Momchi Zabuza, who was hired to kill Tazuna. Sasuke awakens his Blodline Limit, the Sharingan. Sasuke is in a state of temporary death because of Haku, awakening Naruto's hidden Kyubi powers. Naruto defeats Haku, who gives his lofe to save Zabuza. He realizes his mistake and kils his employer, Gato.
The Chuuunin Exams
Straight out from their mission to Kirigakure, Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura get admitted into the Chunin Exams. The first portion of the exam is a written test, which in fact is meant to test the student's courage and information gathering skills. Sasuke cheats off the studets easily using his Sharingan.
The second test, proctored by Mitarashi Anko was to take a scroll from another team and reach the end of The Forest of Death before time ran out. Team 7 did not fare so well entering the forest, they were attacked by an oddball named Orochimaru who gave Sasuke a strange curse and knocked out Naruto, leaving Sakura all by herself. After facing troubles by herself, the team recovered and was able to pass this exam. Before the third exam, Sasuke was taught by a his sensei Kakashi how to use the Chidori. The third exam was cut short when a assasination attempt was conducted by Orochimaru and the Sunagakure Ninjas. Sasuke was battling the sand ninjas at the time.
Sasuke Rescue Mission
After the Chuunin Exams, Sasuke was tempted to join the sound ninjas. He accepts because he wants to gain enough power to avenge his family by killing his brother, Itachi. He faces off with Naruto, in a epic battle to the death.
Sasuke and Naruto are both wounded, but Sasuke escapes.
[edit] Naruto II Arc
Not much is known about Sasuke two and a half years later. He is still with Orochimaru, and his personality has changed a lot. He is now willing to kill Naruto, and even to lose his own life, as long as Itachi dies.
