From My Wiki

The VoiceThread application seems valabule as it can be used as a multimedia tool. I wish I knew about it long time ago. It will definitely help engage people by presenting their point of views using different media tools such as voice, drawing, phone call, and video cam. I was especially amazed by these tools and thought that just like how there are different learning style (e.g. visual learners, auditory learners) for each individual, people can choose a tool that they are comfortable with and that they think is most effective way of representing a certain opinion. I also thought that doodling tool will be of a great use when a group of people try to deliver their questions, opinions, and suggestions. Based on my personal experience, it is difficult for others to describe which part of the presentation they are talking about. If they are able to draw arrows and lines like a pencil, the audience will have easier time following the speaker. There is no doubt that applying VoiceThread in education will provide much more opportunity for students to learn. By using multimedia tools, students can choose ways to deliver their opinion based on their learning style. Making an account for each student may be viewed as a disadvantage; however, by having personal account, each student can go through the uploaded lesson based on their own pace. VoiceThread can be effectively used in learning cultures in different countries around the world. Students can easily interact with other students from different countries to learn about other cultures such as language and geography by asking questions on each presentation slide. The above experience will definitely be priceless for students and they may possibly have gained a lot more knowledge than from the textbooks.
