MTAS - Change to Round One process announced

The Review Group into Round One of Modernising Medical Careers ( MMC ) has tonight approved a change to the system.
The BMA was represented on the Review Group and believes that a way forward has been found which is fair to trainee doctors and all involved in the shortlisting and interviewing process.
The BMA will continue to be involved in the Review Group as it looks into a review of Round 2 and further recommendations . More details will be published next week. The BMA is clear that there should be a fully independent inquiry into how these problems arose and will continue to press for such an inquiry.
