Kocha's Chimeras

From Kokorodatabase

Kocha's chimeras, like all chimeras (save for Kiko, who was always controlled by Cannoli), were once monsters of the day commanded by their enemies. However, Kocha's affectionate, overemotional personality prevented her from killing any, and she took them in as pets despite Ryou's disapproval. This may have something to do with the fact that she has always wanted a pet cat, which her mother would not allow due to her own fear and dislike of the animal.

Kocha has named all of her pets after members of the cast, with reasons ranging from obvious to tenuous.

  • Ichigo-san-alien was the first to be introduced; she is fond of the infinite strawberry dispenser and sometimes escapes the tank when guests are around and would be frightened of her.
  • Shirogane-senpai-alien is a bit of a rebel, but has largely grown out of it. He was given to Ryou as a birthday present.
  • Dai-san-alien likes to run on the hamster wheel.
  • Cannoli-san-alien-even-though-he-is-one was originally only marked as Cannoli due to its green colour. It turned out that "he" was actually female, which Kocha discovered after putting "him" in solitary confinement due to suspected sickness. "He" then laid an egg, and Kocha profusely apologized to Cannoli, but he was fine with the name.
  • Shirogane-san-number-one-alien is larger than the others, and Kocha considers her "pretty".
  • Shirogane-san-number-two-alien is a two-headed mutant. Most find him scary, but Kocha thinks it means he is smart.
  • Mommy-alien tends to pick fights with the other chimera, which Kocha scolds her about when she is around to see it.
  • Daddy-alien was very sickly, thanks to contaminants on Earth that he had not been exposed to on the alien planet, until Kocha produced medicine for him.
  • Roy-san-alien loves the floweathers, which Kocha has placed inside the tank. This is in homage to Cherry's fish, also named after Roy, who did the same thing with the plant in his bowl.
  • Shirogane-san-number-seven-alien is a couch potato, often pressing himself up against the glass or floating out of the tank to watch TV no matter what is on.
  • Plum-san-alien likes to bother the other ones in a hyperactive manner. She has also caused trouble in the past just for fun, such as possessing the waffle iron.
  • Jonatha-san-alien is very curious and inspects everything around her.
  • Dog-san-alien is gluttonous and especially enjoys dog food, although Kocha refuses to give him sweets (she does feel intensely guilty about it, though).
  • Satou-san-alien is affectionate.
  • Himeno-san-alien appears to be as tsundere as a pet can get, switching from fighting the others to being kind to them in an instant.
  • Bad-guy-san-alien-even-though-she-is-one is very friendly and easily distracted, and was even when he was "evil". Like Cannoli-san-alien-even-though-he-is-one, the Praline alien is the opposite gender of his namesake; he was named for her because he belonged to her at one point.
  • Plushie-san-alien resembles a baby octopus (it was going to be a baby jellyfish, but baby octopi are much cuter). He is Cannoli-san-alien-even-though-he-is-one's baby, and lives with her in the solitary confinement fishbowl. He is afraid of everyone but Kocha and his mother, and seeing Ryou for the first time made him cry.

She also has three more of her own that have not been named as of yet, and a growing collection that she does not intend to keep because of space constraints but wishes to give away as pets. However, convincing others to take the latter into their homes is proving difficult.
