-- OBJECTIVES: The purpose of the Rotary Centers program is to: advance research, teaching, publication, and knowledge of issues of peace, goodwill, causes of conflict, and world understanding; provide advanced international educational opportunities for a group of Rotary World Peace Fellows chosen from different countries and cultures on the basis of their potential as leaders in government, business, education, media, and other professions; and provide a means for The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and the member clubs to increase their effectiveness in promoting greater tolerance and cooperation among peoples, leading to world understanding and peace.

-- ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must: hold an earned undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university or its international equivalent (based on a four-year curriculum); have proficiency in a second language; possess excellent leadership skills; demonstrate a commitment to peace and international understanding through service, academic, or professional achievements; and hold citizenship in a country where there is a Rotary club.

-- FUNDING: The fellowship funding is for one to two academic years plus an applied field experience. Funding will be limited to the following categories: tuition and fees, a standardized room and board stipend, transportation, contingency expenses, and an applied field experience. Rotary World Peace Fellows must locate funds to pay for all expenses that are not specifically funded by their fellowships. Fellowship funds are intended for use by the fellowship recipient only. Fellows may be accompanied by their spouses/dependents during their study years. However, The Rotary Foundation will not provide funding for spouses, dependents, or anyone other than the fellow.
