Open To Prospective/Current Graduate Students.

Citizenship Open to U.S. citizens or nationals, permanent residents of the U.S., or citizens of any one of the Freely Associated States.

Eligibility Requirements Open to undergraduate students about to enter graduate school and graduate students who have not yet completed their first year of graduate study and who intend to pursue a doctoral or master's degree. Applicants must submit the FY 2011 FAFSA before January 31, 2011.

Stipend Awards range from $3,000 to $42,000.

Deadline 9/30/2010

Program Description Approximately 27 fellowships are awarded for graduate study leading to a doctoral or terminal master's degree in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. Awards are renewable up to a maximum of 4 years contingent on satisfactory progress to degree and funding availability.
