AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ARTS & SCIENCES, VISITING SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Targeted Fields Open to all fields. Individuals must demonstrate that their work will make a substantial contribution in one or more of the Academy's four research areas.

Open To Postdoctoral Scholars.

Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Eligibility Requirements The PhD, JD, or equivalent professional training (e.g., public policy) should have been completed within the last 10 years (although exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration). Graduate student applicants must complete all degree requirements by August.

Stipend: A stipend of $40,000 per year.

Program Description The Program awards annually up to 7 fellowships for postdoctoral level research at the Academy, located in Cambridge, for an academic year. The Academy is an international learned society composed of distinguished individuals from science, scholarship, business, public affair, and the arts. Drawing on its interdisciplinary membership, it conducts a varied program of studies on critical social and intellectual issues.
