Humour in advertising in Lithuania / Portugal.

We can see humour in advertising in Portugal in products related with new technologies such as mobile phones and internet connections. We can see it in some television channels, radio commercials and billboards. This type of advertising uses images, sounds and phrases to call the attention of the consumers to their products. http://www.cervejasagres.pt/site/ http://www.superbock.pt/SuperBrand/sb_Green_lingua/

Funny advertisements in Lithuania usually appear on the internet, poster on boardings, the cinema, and TV commercials. Not all goods and services can be presented in a funny way. Advertisements of mobile phone connections are the most popular and always demonstrated with humour and sometimes with not logical things. http://www.ezys.lt/index.php?act=card_form, http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3bq11_suopis-ir-rambynas-ramonai-tele2-pl_fun. Lithuania produces a great beer, which is popular in the Baltic countries, so sometimes the producers make fun with foreigners in advertisement. http://www.videosift.com/video/Lithuanian-Beer-Advertising-is-Also-Lame (this advertisement presents "Utenos bear", when some Estonian guys are on holidays in Lithuania, and they liked its beer, and after that are doing funny things.)

In every country the sense of humour in advertising is understood differently. In Lithuania the ads with humour are not very common, though some companies always use their advertisements with humour and it works, e.g. mobile phone network œežysœ always use the advertisments in humour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BA28sDRjqA). Advertisements with a sense of humour mostly are shown in television. Some parts of œSpriteâ?¯ ad on TV was cut in the Baltic countries in case it could be not understandable in the right way as it should be. There is a big competition in adverts among mobile phone networks of Lithuania. There are two examples of Omnitel network advertisement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn6hb4hZKwo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCk8mspONWM&feature=related (it says, that all information you need, you could find in the Omni Surfport network page).
