Sovelis, the tempest, is a mage, and a common sight in Hyrule. His skill in magic is second only to Alpha, a mysterious Sheikah mage. Sovelis' prime activity when not questing is taking a drink with either Kasei or Azador, and he usually ends up drunk and crazy.

Sovelis entered Hyrule through a portal, although the majority of his powers were taken from him by order of the gods. Sovelis has since regained much power, and even defeated Kasei in combat, making him stronger than the rebel flame.

[edit] Sovelis's Equipment

One of the more Prolific characters, Sovelis has a wide array of equipment.

Deku Staff A fine quarterstaff of Deku craftsmanship. Though, due to its construction material, it is considered the weakest of all the 2H weapons. [Two handed. 9 DMG. Restricted to: Scholars.] Sovelis leans on his staff when he is bored or tired.

Flute A thin wooden instrument craved from the wood of a Deku Tree. Produces a sweet melody when played. Sovelis can't play it, since he doesn't know how. Even if he did, his automail hand wouldn't cover the holes, so he keeps it as a keepsake.

North Iron Ore North Iron Ore is a medium-quality ore found only in the mines of the North Forest of Hyrule Field. Sovelis hopes to find a way to use this ore to make a new arm, and to start an automail shop.

Level 1 Tunic A tunic is a mostly thin layer of clothing intended to blunt an indirect hit. As such, it's Armor Class is poor, but inevitably proves to be better than wearing no armor at all. [Chest. Light. 10 Armor Class.] Sovelis had his dyed black to match his robes.

Ammo Bag A small bag made of strong leather. The Ammo Bag is specifically designed to form fit to hold either bullets for a Slingshot or Arrows for a Bow. One of these must be owned to use a Slingshot or Bow. Sovelis only bought this so he could use his slingshot.

Scroll of Fire A piece of parchment that, as long as it is in the possession of a magic user, allows that person to cast Fire. Sovelis bought this so he wouldn't have to learn to cast fire.

Deku Slingshot While the Slingshot itself does no DMG, this is because damage from a slingshot is directly allocated from the bullets that are fired at a target. Restricted to those with Train: Slingshot. [Ranged. 2H. 0 DMG.] Sovelis uses this to pester people.

Trophy A shiny reward given by the King of Hyrule to champion spellers. Ruto Town has amassed so many over the years that the pile of trophies has become the pride of the town. This pride has made them lucrative prizes for enterprising thieves. Sovelis kept it because its shiny.

Scroll of Fairy A piece of parchment that, as long as it is in the possession of a magic user, allows that person to cast Fairy.Sovelis bought this so he could turn into a fairy.

Scroll of Life A piece of parchment that, as long as it is in the possession of a magic user, allows that person to cast Life. Sovelis bought this so he could heal himself or others.

Gerudo Training Glove Gloves specially crafted by the Gerudo for use with ranged weaponry. The softness of the leather coupled with its tight grip allows for faster, more damaging, more efficient archery. Effect: +1 to DMG with any ranged physical attack. [+1 to Ranged DMG.] Sovelis got these so he could hurt someone with his slingshot. He only has one, since he has only one real hand.

The Tempest Blade A fine sword of Tempest craftsmanship. Infused with Sovelis's Tempest powers.[One handed. 5 DMG. Restricted to: Grunts.] Sovelis uses this a lot against people.

Hurdy Gurdy A Hurdy Gurdy box is a special instrument preferred by the eccentric and criminally insane that, when the crank is turned, produces a haunting melody. [+1 to stat bonuses from songs.] Sovelis keeps this in his house, and enchanted it to play on it own.

Bomb Bag A well-crafted piece of Goron craftsmanship, the Bomb Bag allows any adventurer to properly hold and deploy bombs. Sovelis got this so he could play with explosives.

Lantern An old rusted lantern. Inscribed on the base are the words Lon Lon. Sovelis keeps this to light a path in the dark.

[edit] A little about Sovelis

Note: This will be updated regularly as needed, and I plan on doing so with constant vigor -Cody, creator of Sovelis

As some may know, Sovelis is an inter dimensional drifter, referred to as a 'Tempest'. The Order that he once belonged to was eradicated many years ago, when Sovelis was younger, long before he ventured into Hyrule and began his drunken adventures. Sovelis is the one responsible for the destruction of his Order, and of his own world. This world was remarkably similar to our own Earth, and as such, can be considered an Alternate Reality. That Earth now is nothing but a super-heated ball of molten rock covered in a smooth surface of glass many kilometers thick.

[edit] About Cody, the creator of the Sovelis

As few of you know, my name is Cody. I created Sovelis a few years back as a simple Character on another Zelda site, Legends Placeand I didn't expect him to grow any beyond that outlet.

As time passed, my thoughts drifter back to little Sovelis, and I decided to send him on a new journey. Enter:Hyrule Adventures 2!!! I had seen the original Hyrule Adventures once, and I was caught by it and its Role Playing that I immediately went back to Legends Placeand dug around for my old profile of Sovelis. Originally, he was loosely based on a D&D character I had made, a Soveliss Liadon, a half elf/dragon fighter I had used before. I kept the name, took of an s, and made the little guy like me,and made him a inter dimensional drifter. Eureka!!! We have the Tempest!!! After much work, and many insults later, I had a usable character for the world of Hyrule Adventures 2.

[edit] Desent into darkness

The Tempest was a well known, and powerful adventurer around Hyrule, and her people once regarded this man as a hero and one that they could call upon to help them in times of need. Yet unbeknownst to all save his closest allies and friends, Sovelis held a dark and powerful secret: within his body was the spiritual power and soul of a hellish demon that had caused the end of the Order of the Tempests. This demonic entity has become a dark influence upon the choices and powers that Sovelis have made. Recently, he has begun to form an alliance with the darkness within himself rather than resist the demonic temptations. With this done, he has begun to spiral into madness and commit a series of horrendous acts against the people he once swore to protect. Slaughtering priests and villages are only side notes in the mind of the insane Tempest. His true goals are known only to himself, but it seems that he has set his sights on the Triforce, and any other powers that he can reach for.
