Hayai Yuushi's life was shrouded in mystery. What is known is that he was born somewhere on Earth, and was orphaned at an early age. His parents were most likely killed in carpet bombing to silence the Chinese Independence movement. He was in turn, raised by a martial arts master named Sentetsu Ichime, who was a member of the Chinese resistance against the Earth First Federation (EFF). Near his late teenage years after becoming trained in Kung Fu, Hayai was sent to Mars to enlist in the Martian Confederation Mobile Suit Academy.
