History and Incarnations - The First Alseides

The original Alseides mobile suit was based from the design of the Gemini gundam Oreides, and in turn became the prototype suit for the Dragon Slayer series of psychic-use mobile suits, one of the early psycommu equipped mass produced units.

The first Alseides armament was rare, as it was the only suit, along with its D.Slayer offspring, to weild the Crima Claw technology. Due to the nature of the Crima Claw, the Alseides lacked hands of any kind, and relied on hardpoints grafted to it's arm to use it's Gatling gun. It also bore a very distinct look, reminiscent of a medieval knight.

It was designed and partially built by the EFF late in the war with Gemini, but it was never completed before the war was out. It finally finished completion during the USF period, and was passed around various newtype generals before finally being handed down to a up and coming lieutenant named Wes Gunn.

On an interesting note, though he had no conscious knowledge of this, the Alseides prototype, The Oreides, was piloted by Wesley Gunn/Vanguard Crux; the Gemini officer who saw to Wes' creation and training as a potential super-soldier.

Wes understandable felt a connection with the suit, and when the final battle in chicago loomed over the horizon, he stripped down and hid the Alseides, knowing the large battle might destroy it, and instead fought in the Razor mobile suit. The Razor was dimolished after fleeing the battle, proving Wes had made the right decision in stowing the Alseides away.

The Alseides II

Once violence began to die down after the end of the USF era, Wes tracked down the Alseides, and began the process of rearmament. The Crima Claws built into the suits arms turned out to have a short shelf life, with the Crima fluid breaking down on its own. Since the plans for the claws had since been lost, he opted to finally mount hands onto the suit and reassemble the entire suit. Since the rebuild of the Alseides was so drastic, yet the style of the suit remained untouched (save for a gunmetal paintjob), Wes decided to newly dub his suit The Alseides II. Its armament was fairly basic, but in Wes' hands it could still go toe to toe with even some of the toughest mobile suit aces, most notably Neo Lee, which Wes fought on multiple occasions, with each fight seemingly ending in a draw.

The Alseides II saw plenty of action as Wes became a pilot-for-hire, regaining knowledge of his past personality and changing his name back to Spike. During the events of the Sakura Saga, he fought for a number of factions, primarily aiding the forces of The Black Dragoons, a pirate faction led by his former commander Xavier Fenix. It was during his job there that Wes suffered a mental breakdown due to his clashing personas. He seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving The Alseides II behind, and in the hands of the Black Dragoons.

After almost a month had gone by, the Alseides II was still the assumed property of the Black Dragoons. However, as it was being moved with a number of other suits within the Black Dragoons flagship, their forces were attacked and a battle ensued. During the battle, the Alseides sprung to life, and was piloted off of the flagship by an unknown pilot, being referred to as Hostile 17. The mystery pilot flew off with the Alseides and wouldn't return for some while.

The Alseides III
