The Solar has been given a great deal of power, and with that, comes great responsibility. However, the strain of acting much more mature takes its toll when a Solar, a Prince of the Earth, desires to have a little fun and not worry about the outcome. When they limit break, the Solar will act like a selfish child, sulking, throwing temper tautrums, complaining and so on. They don't want to worry about all of the big important things they need to do, they want to play and have fun!

Mina looks like a sweet, earnest 15-year-old, with an air of solemn maturity in her blue eyes, dressed in the proper uniform of a student. Her blond hair is kept tidy, clipped back by an orange daffodil, and she often simply breaks out into a run simply for the joy of movement. It's those times where a person can see that she is still growing, moving with surprising speed and endurance.

A mother and a father in Meru had a big family. They had a very happy life, and they still do even now. It is a peaceful life, even under the Regime's control. For their youngest children, the Regime was the only life they knew. The oldest of the handful was Mina, born the year the Usurpation happened. Adlez encouraged his daughter's curiosity of Magitech, helping her hide the little projects she worked on from her siblings and their mischief, while Emerald Chain would sigh and break up the fights that her unruly brood would have. Mina was in the middle and content to work on her toys and explore the big city. It was a bit of a pity that all Mina really knew was the war outside, the girl wishing that she could have seen what Meru was like in its heyday. In fact, that curiosity is exactly what turned her world upside down.
One of her classmates mentioned he had heard of a creepy lab that no one went to anymore, and Mina grinned brightly, stating that she wasn't scared. She went in without fear, all alone, to get one of the fabled flowers within the place. Unfortunately, it proved to be not a Genesis lab, but a magitech lab, and the girl found herself trapped within. The girl wandered about the place, trying to figure out how she could get out, before realizing what she could do. She needed oil and a plug. She had a knife.
She cut off her own finger.
And that is when the Sun took notice.
