Kyle doco log

From Ftvprotowiki

today i imported my interviews with zach donahue and mick dowey. i also had a bit of footage showing zach riding in the back streets of redlynch.

filmed the interviews on sunday. forgot to document it in my log. 7/11/06

today i imported my interviews and started cutting and editting the sound. i think i could improve my sound if i lower the treble because the voice on the interview is pretty low. i redid the sound on my opening scenes because i had to add extra scenes to introduce the rider "zach donahue" 9/11/06

today is firday. i editied in an introductions speech for two of my interviewies. the sound seemed a bit quite so i am working out how to raise the voume in the interviews and lower the volume in the songs and effects because they are of higher quality and recording volume. 10/11/06

got alot done today. edited more interviews and shots showing the ocal area. the interviews explain how the law is affecting them and what they think could be inproved and tacken into account. put a song in the background which makes the doco flow together. 14/11/06

today did 30 more seconds of my film. i think i will be able to finish a full sequence by monday. should be good. 16/11/06

had my sequence looked over by mr. weston. and fixed up all the things he said needed fixing 21/11/06

finished assignment. exported as dv 23/11/06

my program let'em ride was designed for A Current Affair. it did not suite the program, it is more of a program for extreme sports channels such as fuel tv. the tone that was set is that motocross is fun and shouldnt be banned. i was successful in creating this tone because i used fun footage and music and had interviews wit people who portrayed the tones well. the point i was trying to get across was that motocross is'nt bad for the commmunity and should be embrassed.

Aspects which were successful were he quality of the shots, flow in the editing, it was entertaining, the key demographic was reached and the message was up across and it. to improve i would have had more interviews adn more archival footage. i concluded with a message from loccal rider and police officer saying that motocross isnt bad and should be facilitated by the council. the music used was up beat and suited the tone of the doco.

Problems encpuntered were interviews which were lost or the interviewy couldnt be interviewed. if time and resources were gre4ater i would try interview the mayor, head of traffic control and a pro rider. the audience would enjoy the film if they are against the law against motocross or dont understand it, but people how think the law helps will disapprove witht he films messages. 28/11/06
