The Lost Adventures

The Lost Adventures(originally "UniComics") is a sprite comic series based on users of the Super Mario Wiki, with several original characters, including Frijjle and the entire GreenMoon. The comic was created by Uniju(who also makes minor appearances in the comic), and many other users believe that it set many standards for other people's sprite comics(the neater layout, every frame being the same size, less comedy and more action, etc). Although mainly an Adventure series(as the title implies), the series is also said to have a good sense of humor, and well done action scenes. However, the comic is criticized for coming out VERY slow, and many issues being pointless filler that arise from "spriters block" and simple laziness.

The Lost Adventures' first issue was release on 28th of July 2007, originally to be called "UniComics", but the name was changed at the last second(hence there was no logo in issue #1). At the time Uniju had not read any other comics on the wiki, and many users said that it was for the better that he hadn't, because his comic became a hit on the site and set many standards for comics to come. At first, it came out very slowly, except for a few comics that where originally one comic but split because they where too large(notably issues #2 and #3).

Soon, several comics where made for reasons such as "because I read Uniju's comic and wanted to make something as cool as it", like Pokemon DP's The Shadow Chronicles(which is most commonly critized as ripping of The Lost Adventures down to the name), and Toadbert101's Toadbert's Doofus Adventures(later cancalled and replaced by When Sysops Attack!). Many comics of the time had similar themes, and even names as The Lost Adventures, but only The Shadow Chronicles ever became much of a competitor, and wanting to be better than the other made but The Lost Adventures and The Shadow Chronicles come out just about every day for a while, and many people said that that was the best time for both of the comics.

However, despite how fast they once came out, eventually they both began to slow down again, and soon many people began to say that they where even canceled, however both Uniju and Pokemon DP constantly insisted that the comics where not canceled, and that comics would start coming out quickly again soon, which they never did. Due to how slow they came out, many people began to ignore the two comics when they DID come out.

When The Lost Adventures did come out, many people said that the comic's sucked, and most of the people who weren't originally fans of it ignored it, and the people who where fans of it read it for the sake of reading it, hoping that it would be better this issue. Eventually, Uniju announced that the movie based on The Lost Adventures he had brought up a few times was to exist, and released a trailer calling the movie The Lost Adventures -The Movie-(see main article for more details).
