History

Arëdighùani cinema began in earnest after the fantastic success of Den Stor, which was hailed by critics and the government alike as a great work of its time, Arëdighùani cinema and film took began its fast track to sucess. Capitalising on the patriotic feelings of the time, the films of the early 1200's, up to the early years of the great war, would focus on the pride and nationalism of the Arëdighùani people.

During the war, few civillian film projects were commissioned thanks to the war-centric attitudes of everyone wealthy enough to afford the costs of such productions. The films that were created were largely commissioned by the government, helping to promote their war effort by buying bonds, conserving resources and the like. In the post war years, many of these films would remain a menoir and reminder to the horrors and atrocities of the Great War.
