Potions and Poisons

This is a list of all the potions and poisons which are considered for raids.

Potions

Remedy

The remedy potions can instantly cure a hostile effect that's been placed on you. If it doesn't completely cure you, it will reduce the duration or damaging effect. It can be interrupted but the effect is instant. The recast is 15 seconds.

  1. Noxious: A cure for disease or poison.
  2. Elemental: A cure for heat or cold effects.
  3. Arcane: A cure for divine, mental, and magic.
  4. Trauma: A cure for crushing, slashing, piercing.

Heal

The heal potions come in four varieties: instant heal, regeneration, ward, and freedom. Which ever one was the last you used, that's the recast time for the next potion

  1. Essence of Health (1 second casting, 0.5 second recovery, 2 minutes 45 seconds recast): Instant health in a bottle.
  2. Essence of Power (.08 second casting, 0.4 second recovery, 2 minutes 45 seconds recast): Regen. a set amount of power instantly.
  3. Essence of Regeneration (.08 second casting, 0.4 second recovery, 30 second duration, 2 minutes 45 seconds recast): Regain some health over a short period of time.
  4. Essence of Clarity (1 second casting, 0.5 second recovery, 30 second duration, 2 minutes 45 seconds recast): Regen. some power over a short period of time.
  5. Reprieve (instant cast, 0.4 second recovery, 1 hour duration, 5 minutes recast): Same types as the remedies. Wards against that type of effect until either 1 hour has passed or the ward is used up.
  6. Freedom of Mind (instant cast, instant recovery, 10 second duration, 15 minutes recast): You won't be stunned or stifled (unless you cast it on yourself).
  7. Freedom of Action (instant cast, instant recovery, 10 second duration, 15 minutes recast): You won't be feared or rooted (unless you cast it on yourself).

Buffs

Buffs in a bottle. Like the heals, these have varying timers depending on the type.

  1. Elixir of Thorns (2 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 2 minute 6 second duration, 1 minute recast): Damage shield. Damage from this potion is unresistable and not mitigated.
  2. Elixir of Fortitude (3 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 30 minute duration, 10 second recast): Increases your strength.
  3. Elixir of Deftness (3 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 30 minute duration, 10 second recast): Increases your agility.
  4. Elixir of Piety (3 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 30 minute duration, 10 second recast): Increases your wisdom.
  5. Elixir of Intellect (2.4/2.8 second cast, 0.5/.4 second recovery, 30 minute duration, 10 second recast): Increases your intelligence.
  6. Elixir of Constitution (3 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 15 minute duration, 15 second recast): Increase your health pool.
  7. Elixir of Transcendence (3 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 15 minute duration, 15 second recast): Increase your power pool.
  8. Elixir of Tactics (0.5 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 10 minute duration, 15 minute recast): Increases your chance to critical with ranged or melee hits.
  9. Elixir of Second Sight (0.5 second cast, 0.5 second recovery, 10 minute duration, 15 minute recast): Increases your chance to critical with spells or heals.

Poisons

Now for my class type, Scouts or Rogues, you should always have poisons on your person, to deal that little bit extra "KISS OF DEATH" onto the big McNasty. There are 3 types/colors: Blue Vial, Red Vial, and Purple Vial. At level 70, again, you have to hit up the broker or your poison making cohort who likes to try to sneak some into your oatmeal in the morning *'cept he always trips up with the giggly laugh~ ahem, moving on*. If you are not already aware, you can only use 1 vial of 1 color at a time, they DO NOT stack!!

Dread Rat Poisons

Use playercrafted & Luv em! But remember, they ain’t finger lickin’ good like the NPC crap! So pay attention nub! Elsewise I will educate yous in da more permanent poisoned fashion!

Rats digest version …Live Update #24 made it a lil easier to tell what you are doing. 1) The same tier handcrafted & mastercrafted poisons have the same “surname.” 2) Similar type poisons are colored the same. 3) As you gain higher levels you will have a wider variety of poisons to choose from and some are only available in the mastercrafted version.

(1) The names now make it easier to identify the tier:

T7

Exceptional – Level 60 Handcrafted – Made from T7 common harvests

Grandmaster’s – Level 62 Mastercrafted – Made from “scentillating dust” resulting from crafting T7 Adept III’s.

T6

Remarkable – Level 50 Handcrafted – Made from T6 common harvests

Master’s – Level 52 Mastercrafted – Made from “lambent dust” resulting from crafting T6 Adept III’s.

You get the drift… T5 - Superior / Apothecary’s / Luminous dust, T4 - Superb / Workman’s / Glimmering dust, T3 - Greater /Journeyman’s / Sparkling dust, T2 - <none> / Apprentice’s / Shimmering dust, T1 - Lesser / Neophyte’s / Flickering dust

(2) You could always have three different poisons types up at one time. Damage, Debuff & Effect. But, now it is easier to tell what the different types are.

Damage = Red, Reduces health or power, 25% proc rate with 100 charges

Debuff = Purple, Reduces stats and abilities, 15% proc rate with 60 charges

Effect = Blue, Proc’s a special effect, 15% proc rate with 60 charges

(3) As you level increases you get more poison choices.

Starting at T1: Caustic [red] (health direct damage) handcrafted/mastercrafted & Hemotoxin [red] (health DoT) handcrafted

Note: PvP servers start these poisons at T2

T2 adds: Hemotoxin [red] (health DoT) mastercrafted

T3 adds: Warding Ebb [purple] (WIS and magic resist debuff) handcrafted and mastercrafted

T4 adds no new styles

T5 adds: Essence of Turgur [blue] (attack speed debuff) handcrafted/mastercrafted, Fettering [blue] (slows movement speed) handcrafted/mastercrafted & Ignorant Bliss [blue] (reduces threat) handcrafted/mastercrafted

T6 adds: Vitality Breach [red] (life tap) handcrafted/mastercrafted, Mental Breach [red] (power tap) handcrafted/mastercrafted, Enfeebling [purple] (STR & attack skill debuff) handcrafted/mastercrafted & Gracelessness [purple] (AGI & defense skill debuff) handcrafted/mastercrafted

T7 adds Stupefying [blue] (stuns non-epic) mastercrafted ONLY & Cerebral Ebb [purple] (INT and casting skill debuff) handcrafted/ mastercrafted

The way the rat likes it:

Raid line up: Mental Breach / Enfeebling / Turgur

Smurfin’ around line up: Caustic

Situational: I carry everything on me, so I can change as the situation dictated

Which combinations you use depend on your rat brain!
