Career

Dolph Ziggler signed with DXX in December of 2008, and immediately became involved in a backstage altercation with Chris Jericho. This led to a tag team match on the December 21st edition of Friday Night Mayhem featuring Ziggler teaming with Kevin Kompiler to take on Jericho and Ted DiBiase Jr. with the stipulation being that if Zigglers team won he would go on to the Crucifixion Pay-Per-View to face Khwame Myles for the DXX Trans-Continental Championship, and the same applied of Jericho's team won. Zigglers career did not get off to a good start with a loss.

After the loss Ziggler took a couple of weeks off, returning on the first Mayhem show of 2009 to successfully defeat Hayden Underlocke in a first round tournament match to determine a new Magnum Champion, but his luck was short-lived as he the next week he lost to Mickie James in the second round. This proved to be too much for Ziggler and he left the company.
