Chapter 1: Confusion

  • (Saturday)

The story starts when the protagonists wakes up with a headache. He can't think clearly, so he can't remember anything - not even his own name. Looking around, he notices he was sleeping on the floor, and empty beer bottles are scattered all around him - meaning he probably just got too drunk last night and passed out. He can't think clearly, so he decides to take a show and try to find out what happened after that. After he comes back, he finds out it's Saturday (doesn't matter how exactly - an example would be that his watch shows the date, and the calendar shows that that day is a Saturday), has breakfast, and just wastes his day doing nothing important. By the end of the day, he still doesn't remember anything.

Chapter 2: Identity

  • (Sunday - Monday)

The next day, he still doesn't remember anything, and starts getting worried. After worrying for a bit, he decides to first find out who he is. He might have to go to work or school the next day, and knowing who he is might help him recover his memory. After looking around for a bit, he finds his ID in his wallet, revealing that his name is Roy Miller, and deducts from the textbooks in his room that he is some kind of student, probably a college student. Problem is, however, that he has no idea what school he attends, nor where that school would be located. He does remember some very vague memories, but it's all too vague to actually be useful. For the rest of the day and the day after that, he tries to find out what school he attends, but to no avail - there are countless schools in the town he lives in, and he can't remember the names, telephone numbers and other contact information of any of his classmates. His parents don't show up either, meaning either he lives alone or they are away for an extended period of time. Monday evening, when he is still trying to find out what school he attends, the phone rings. Roy picks up the phone, and it seems he's talking to some David, who seems to be his best friend. Roy seems to have been absent from college, and David couldn't work on their school project properly because he didn't have the stuff Roy and Emma were supposed to bring over. Roy explains that he lost his memory. David doesn't believe it at first, but when Roy asks what school he attends and where he can find it, David says he'll show Roy the way to college tomorrow morning, and will be waiting in front of his dorm the next morning.

Chapter 3: School

  • (Tuesday - Friday)

The next morning, he still can't remember anything from before the weekend - but at least he can remember that his friend would show him the way to college. He walks to college with David, chatting a bit, and remembers that that is indeed the school he attends. After they reach the school, David asks if Roy knows why his girlfriend Emma was also absent yesterday. However, Roy doesn't even remember he had a girlfriend. After seeing a picture of Emma, Roy remembers some trivial memories about her. Two of those seemingly trivial memories are the memory of Roy and Emma having an argument, and Roy and Emma working on a school project when Emma decides to take a break, and half-forces Roy to take a break as well. Emma remains absent even as two days pass, and the school is unable to contact her. On Friday morning, during a random conversation between Roy and David, the subject of Emma is brought up again. At that point, David remembers: "Didn't she go over to your place last Friday to work on our school project?" This causes Roy to get a bad feeling about the whole thing, but he remains at school for the rest of the morning. However, over the morning, his suspicions only grow worse, and during lunch break he runs home, panicking.

Chapter 4: Conclusion

  • (Thursday - Indefinite future)

Again, flashbacks of Roy and Emma going home to work on a school project, and Roy deciding to take a break.

  • Present: Roy runs home quickly.
  • Flashback continues: Emma takes a break, and half-forces Roy to do the same. She starts drinking some of the beer she brought over, and encourages Roy to do the same. He refuses at first, but eventually starts drinking as well.
  • Present: Roy goes all 'oh shit, I hope I'm wrong', and runs to his room.
  • Flashback continues: Both Roy and Emma get drunk, and get into an argument about how she always bosses him around. (This is an extended version of the earlier argument flashback.)
  • Present: Roy rummages around in his trash bin, and goes pale when he finds a key there.
  • Flashback continues: More arguing, both Roy and Emma become pretty pissed off.
  • Present: Roy puts key in the keyhole of his closet, it fits perfectly, and he goes even paler.
  • Flashback continues: Roy picks up an empty beer bottle and threatens Emma. Emma is not intimidated, and in her drunken state, only further angers Roy.
  • Present: Roy opens the closet door and nearly gets an heart attack.
  • Flashback continues: Roy swings the beer bottle towards Emma, meaning to hit her painfully but not cause too much damage. Emma dodges, but this only causes her to get hit at her temple, and she drops dead immediately.
  • Present: Roy finds dead body of Emma in his closet, has a mental breakdown, and begins to scream.
  • Flashback: Roy sees Emma drop dead in front of him, and doesn't believe she's dead at first, but slowly realizes it and becomes scared.
  • Present: As there's been suspicious screams coming from the house for a while now, the police checks out what's going on over there and finds Roy and the dead body.
  • Flashback: Roy realizes he has commited a murder, panicks about what he should do, and, in his drunken state, comes to the conclusion that he should hide the body.
  • Present: Police questions Roy about what happened. Traumatized Roy makes it pretty obvious that he's the one who killed Emma.
  • Flashback: Roy decides the closet he never uses is a good place to hide the body, unlocks it, stuffs the body inside, and locks it again.
  • Present: Roy is put on trial for murder. It's pretty obvious that he's screwed.
  • Flashback: Roy steps back after locking the door again, but in doing so, bumps the back of his head painfully, causing him to faint and drop the key in the trash bin.

Then the screen simply goes all black, text only, and Roy is sentenced to X years of jail (can be anything, just some really harsh punishment).

Then comes the epilogue, which just consists of Roy reflecting on his actions, and regretting what he has done...but what has happened, has happened, and no matter how harsh it is, no one can change it. Such is life.
