Appearance

Lilith is really a rather pretty girl. She's not too-too tall - perhaps 5'6" on a good day - and does not suffer from a lack of flesh; she's quite curvy, and even buxom, some might say. Her hair is a light purple colour, and she keeps it long, always going off in its own devices. Her eyes, perhaps, are her (second) most prominent feature - unlike most of her siblings, they drifted right off the blue end of the scale into a light lavender hue.

She tends to dress somewhat eccentrically, to befit her status amongst the psychics of Saffron. She prefers robes and short gowns, bedecks herself in jewellery and strange symbols, and can hardly ever be seen without her favourite cornuthaum - she kind of has a thing for fancy hats.

Personality

Most people, if they've at all heard of Lilith before meeting her, know to watch out for one particular thing - while intelligent enough and fairly well-grounded in reality, she seems to have been cursed with a temperment as fickle as the winds. She can be kind and laughing one moment, hopelessly depressed the next, and then be ready to tear your head off from some imagined insult. Her explosive temper is somewhat renowned!

She is self-centered, unapologetically selfish, and will do whatever she deems necessary to get whatever she wants - whether this is pouting, seducing, merrily spouting off into a tantrum, or poisoning people with chicken samosas really depends on the situation. She hates to be backed into corners, and won't hesitate to vocalise her opinions - loudly - upon any subjects she feels are necessary to discuss. This mostly takes the form of bitching and whining about things she finds difficult or unfair.

For all her bad traits, though - and there are a lot of them - she has a few gems among the grit. She's fiercely protective of her family and her friends, ready to stick by them even as the rocks are falling and everyone's dying. She really does try to do what's right, even if that trying goes nowhere half of the time. She loves her Pokémon, and spoils them just enough. She fully believes that the secrets to the universe are within her reach - if only she could focus long enough to stare them in the face!

History

Lilith spend her early years on the Jackson farm, tending to the Doduo and Dodrio. ...Gag her with a spoon. The two/three brains = better than one thing really wasn't true at all, and besides, they stank. :| She booked it out on her Pokémon journey just as soon as she was able to, determined to leave the mundane, down-home life behind. She and her little Squirtle soon proved themselves to be capable enough, and they booked it around Kanto for a few years, gathering badges and capturing Pokémon, and doing what kids did. She fairly soon developed something of a rapport with the collection of psychic-types that she'd caught, and began to favour them over the others in her group. They worked excellently with her, and she with them, and she adored their particular mysteries and power over others. And, hey, perhaps it meant she had glimmerings of psychic power herself, since she got along so well with them...? The thought was delicious, and propelled her on to train even harder with her beloved psychics.

Finally, however, she tired of tromping around in the wilderness - it was still terribly dirty out there, hiking and camping everywhere. The shining beacon of Saffron City called to her - not only did she fancy herself a sophisticated and charming big-city lass, but that was where the psychic gym was, and she figured she'd fit in right splendidly there.

And so she did! She came into the gym's service at the age of sixteen, and proved to be one of the better battlers there. Unfortunately, though, she was prevented from climbing the chain of command very high because of one wee oversight - she was, apparently, a mentalist dud. She couldn't bend a spoon with her mind if her life depended on it; telekinesis was out. Her predictions were laughable - future sight wasn't hers, either. Her attempts at channeling spirits led to nothing but a headache. She couldn't hear a thing from any of the telepathic ones, nor could they from her... Nope, nope, nope. The one thing that she was good at was cold reading, but that wasn't exactly something that took any special power, just a bit of observation and knowing what people were like or apt to do.

Lilith's stayed around at the gym, however, teaching the young whippersnappers a thing or two about how psychic Pokémon are really the best, and attempting to unlock her hidden powers that she KNOWS are RIGHT THERE. She's adopted a persona to go along with her new standing - oh, even if she doesn't /really/ have the power, she still thoroughly pretends she does.

And, in the meantime, she mostly mans the reception desk at the gym - as she can read people to figure out what it is they want most of the time, putting her right in their way lets the other, real psychics flit around bending spoons or whatever it is they do undisturbed, while she separates the wheat from the chaff. Sigh. :|||

Misc

  • Hometown: Mom and dad's farm outside of Celadon!
  • Current Residence: Saffron City
  • Occupation: Gym member/receptionist.
  • Other:
    • Even though she's fairly good at noticing things about people right in front of her with her cold reading skills, she shares the Jackson trait of being horribly out of the loop with everything else. Apparently all the attention span she has comes into play when people are right there in front of her.
    • Pointing out her traces of bumpkin-accent is never a good idea. She's adopted a 'mysterious-sounding' (to her) accent and way of speech to try and erase the presence of the old, but it's not quite gone yet.
    • She's quite claustrophobic, and prefers wide-open, windswept areas to any other kind in existence~

Pokémon

Siegfried

  • Type: Kadabra
  • How long owned: 8 years.
  • Other: Siegfried was one of the first Pokémon Lilith captured, way back when he was a teeny little Abra. Although he has a tendency to be lazy, he's a strong battler, and dotes on Lilith almost as much as she dotes on him.

Mimir

  • Type: Wobbuffet
  • How long owned: 6 years.
  • Other: Mimir is the Pokémon that Lilith brings out when she's feeling particularly teasing or playful - of course, he does naught but reflect that which is thrown at him. He's really a rather annoying foe to face! Also, squishy. Lil often uses his tail as a stress ball.

Huginn

  • Type: Xatu
  • How long owned: 6 years.
  • Other: Unlike his owner, Huginn is quite proficient in the prediction of future events. He's mostly motionless the rest of the time, though - although, strangely, a bit more energetic than some of the other Xatu found in the gym. Maybe Lilith's wellspring of energy leaks over into him a little.

Sigrun

  • Type: Gardevoir
  • How long owned: 3 years.
  • Other: Lilith traded her Blastoise for this beauty when she was a Kirlia; she almost felt sad at letting her trusty starter go, but the chance of owning a Gardevoir was just too much! They're one of her very favourite Pokémon, after all. Sigrun is perhaps the most adept psychic on Lilith's team, but her trainer's moodswing episodes seem to disrupt her focus; the empathetic abilities of the Gardevoir are unfortunately a hindrance in this pair.

Heimir

  • Type: Medicham
  • How long owned: 2 years.
  • Other: Lilith captured Heimir in Sinnoh whilst away on a trip for gym business. She's somewhat inspired by the Medicham's commitment to meditation, and usually practices yoga with him in the mornings; she figures it can't hurt either her figure or her mind!
