Appearance

Emi is not very tall, but not very short. She's not very thin, but she's not very thick. In the end, she doesn't really have a lot that sticks out about her. Her hair is a brighter purple than most of her family members, and she keeps it cropped into a messy short cut so that she doesn't have to worry about it getting in her way when travelling. Her big smile that is almost always plastered on her face, and she has big, bright eyes.

When traveling, Emi wears a pair of shorts and a cropped, sleeveless shirt. She also wears a white cowboy hat to keep the sun out of her eyes, and boots so that she can venture wherever she might need to in order to pursue some rare Pokémon. She also carries a jacket with her, but usually keeps it packed away unless it gets cold or rainy.

Personality

Emi is an extremely likeable girl, who is non-confrontational and tries to be friendly to everyone and everything that she comes to pass. She possesses an obvious naiveté, and is incredibly trusting of other people and what they tell her. As a part of this mantra, she considers most everyone that she meets to be her friend and if you give her a means of contacting you in the future, you can be certain that a letter or email or phone call will find its way to you soon.

Due to her years spent attending school for longer than she had to, Emi is actually much smarter than she lets on. However, she has little to no common sense - the fact that a Voltorb uses self-destruct when pestered is nothing new to her (and she might even be able to describe the mechanics of the move), but it still might not stop her from poking one anyway out of curiosity.

History

Emi is one of the middle children of the Jackson brood, a family made famous by their flightless fowl and their level of attentiveness. She's always had a close connection with her family, and while some of her siblings were frustrated with their lot in life, Emi felt quite the opposite - she had a childhood that she thoroughly enjoyed. She learned how to take care of Doduo, sure, but she also developed a deep respect for Pokémon in general. As far as her family is concerned, she looks up to her older siblings (putting them on near-pedestals) and cares deeply for her younger siblings. Emi is certainly a family-centered person and still writes and calls the ranch often.

Emi was late to bloom into a Pokémon Trainer, since she usually forgot to go get signed up for it until it was too late, or overslept when she remembered, or a variety of other excuses. She spent most of her copious free time continuing her education and helping her family around the ranch and the house. Regardless of her excuses, however, her parents figured that she actually didn't want to leave home and was scared of having to go out on her own. Still, once she turned 17, she realized that it was finally time to set out on her journey. She stayed up all night in order not to forget what she was doing, and although she was sleep-deprived, she enthusiastically set out on her journey with her Bulbasaur, Hubert.

Her travels have taken her all over the Kanto and Johto regions, where she has had many adventures with both the people and the Pokémon that she comes into contact with. While she has seen many sights and studied many Pokémon, her captured collection isn't as impressive as one might assume, as she has the bad habit of capturing, training, and then releasing them into the wild once they show signs of wishing to return to the place they came from. The Pokémon that she has on her and in her storage are those that share a great bond with her and didn't wish to leave her side.

Currently, Emi is seeking her 8th badge (after recently obtaining all of the Kanto badges except for Giovanni's). She is on the road back to Johto!

  • Current Residence: On the ROAD!
  • Occupation: Pokémon Trainer
  • Other: While Emi doesn't watch a lot of TV, but she does like to watch Pokémon contests and game shows. She hopes to be on one someday. It's one of her hobbies to remember what some may term as useless trivia, so she figures that'll be useful.
  • She also has an unusual affinity for Doduo and Dodrio, and can ride them with a professional finesse.
  • Her birthday is May 14th
  • Player: Anastasia

Pokémon

Hubert

  • Type: Venusaur
  • How long owned: 2 years
  • Other: Hubert is the brains of the operation, or so it would seem. Most of the scrapes that Emi gets into, her Venusaur is always there to get her out of them. They're very loyal to each other and despite the fact that Hubert often gets frustrated with his trainer, in the end the two are quite compatible and get along very well. A good example of how a trainer and their main Pokémon should get along.

Stacy

  • Type: Zubat
  • How long owned: roughly 2 years
  • Other: Stacey was the first Pokémon that Emi ever caught, and also happens to be a male Zubat. Stacey is worthless in battle, except as a distraction and general spaz, but for some reason Emi does not feel the need to remove him from her line-up. Despite being weak and mostly useless, it's Supersonic move is surprisingly effective.

Pippi

  • Type: Clefairy
  • How long owned: roughly 1 year
  • Other: Halfway through her journey, Emi stumbled upon a Clefairy at Mt. Moon. After a tiring chase and battle, Emi finally managed to capture it. As it turns out, the Clefairy was extremely playful and enjoyed the chase more because it wanted to play tag than because it was scared. Pippi and Emi get along well, though Pippi is very playful (sometimes with trouble following her antics).

Tad

  • Type: Quagsire
  • How long owned: a little over 1 year
  • Other: Tad and Emi met when the trainer fell into a stream and directly onto a Whooper. As they both floated dazed and confused to the shore, they formed a bond due to mutual ineptitude. Tad had a tearful farewell from his fellow streammates, but wanted to pursue the life of adventure with the girl who fell on top of them. Tad evolved into a Quagsire a few months ago, and to celebrate Emi took the team to the beach. This Pokémon and its trainer are more alike than one would think.

Mercury

  • Type: Ponyta
  • How long owned: 4 months
  • Other: Mercury is a stunning Pokémon, exceptionally handsome even for a Ponyta. Still, this doesn't serve to make him any less of an asshole. While he is strong and has the potential to be even stronger, Emi doesn't have to force of personality that it takes to really control Mercury at this point (especially since they've only been together for a short while). In the future, Emi hopes to tame Mercury so that they can be good friends.

Bidoof

  • Type: Bidoof
  • How long owned: 1 month
  • Other: Bidoof is Emi's newest Pokémon, which she traded her Ampharos in order to obtain. She was told that it was a rare Pokémon from Sinnoh, and so far they seem to be getting along well. She still doesn't realize that Bidoof is actually a very common creature and that she got scammed.
