Image: Standing 5'8" with blonde hair and brown eyes, full goatee giving him a slightly rugged look. Stern and solemn most of the time, even though he's rather small, he's well conditioned physically and has a demeanor that warns most people off from trying anything. Favoring black in clothing, he tends to blend in with the night rather easily.
History/Bio: Mathew was born Mathius Gregant over 900 years ago to a couple in Germany. Growing up in his village and marrying fairly young he and his bride spent several years together before having a child. A beautiful baby girl was born to them, though at the cost of his wife's life. Three years later, his daughter joined his fallen wife in the grave. Blaming himself for the loss of both, Mat spiraled further into alcoholic oblivion. Nearly dying from self neglect, slowly he managed to work himself back up and overcome the pain of the loss. That's when his future master descended and took from Mat his past.
Forced into a new life with new rules, Mat soon learned to adapt or face the wrath of his new parent. A quick study in the politics and nature of his new lot in life, he began to excel at the machinations of war. Learning how to fight as well to direct during his early years has served Mat well since. Mat has only called two people Master during his life time, his mentor and a certain female that had earned the title while he apprenticed under her watchful eye. Changing his name ever so often to avoid speculation, the new Mathew Gregor met a fellow soldier and one that earned Mathew's respect, Luke Laque. Following Luke to CrossRealms Mathew served as Luke's Horseman of War, and management at the Inn of the RisingSun. Due to Luke's involvement with Charity Kradisha, their long standing relationship has fallen to the wayside. Charity being a bane to Mat but not seeming to be going away anytime soon, Mathew resigned from the Inn and joined the Godai Kingdom as personal advisor to the new Queen, Yusaku.
Since the destruction of the realm and subsequent restoration, Mathew has found himself no longer cursed as a vampire, or completely human for that matter. Swallowed whole by the darkness, he now is a living avatar of Shadow tied to the kingdom as one of its Dragon Shards.
Other: Mathew has a small horde of items gathered over the years, his two most prized possessions being the ancient Katana he picked up in Japan long ago and still as sharp as ever and his Harley.
