Grandfather Lei is the progenitor of the Wei family. An ancient Chi'n Ta, Grandfather Thunder lived before recorded history in the southern lands of present day China. Together with his wife, Grandmother Fung, the two maintained stability of the Sapphire Song court, crafting the Book of Silver and Jade to aide in their handling of those spirits which were deviants from their Celestial mandates, or which were beyond their ability to deal with.
