Amber Orb

The Amber Orb was discovered by Interceptor when Robert installed a quintessence finder on the small robotic dog. Soon after installation, he began to dig down in the basement and continued straight down for several days, eventually pushing a large ball of amber up from the depths of the hole. The amber was a major source of quintessence, and had attracted a consumption bane that was feeding off it. The bane was removed by the Elemental Dragons but not after causing serious harm to Jarrod in his efforts to remove it. Robert found the amber was the condensed remains of a Jurassic Forest, the guardian spirit as well as the Flora and Fauna of the time period remained spiritually within the Amber, a small self contained ecosphere. The Amber proved to be a potent quintessence battery and regenerated itself while in Robert's study.
