Prince João of Orléans-Braganza (baptized as Antônio Alcântara Francisco Carlos Xavier Leocádio Miguel de Orleans e Bragança; born July 18, 1985) is the youngest child of the late Emperor Luís I of Brazil.
João, or "Johnny" as his family and close friends call him, is best known for his (sometimes mischievous) sense of humor; he frequently plays practical jokes (albeit in a friendly manner) on his family and friends, and loves to tell jokes, although never dirty ones. Perpetually sunny and cheerful, he is always able to raise others' spirits with his upbeat attitude and charm.
Like his sister, Amélia, he loves animals: there's a rumor he owns more than 2,000 pets (most of them cared for by servants). He is currently studying law at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro; fortunately for him, he does not joke at all when it comes to his academic career, and he consistently receives A's and B's in all of his classes.
