Thinking how angry your parents will be if you blow them off when they’ve already paid for the meal, you sigh and head downstairs to your car, a Volkswagen Bug, waiting just outside for you in the car park of your apartment building. You climb in and close the door as you set out. It’s dark and it looks like it’s going to start raining as you pull up in the restaurant car park, get out and lock up your car. Now that you’re actually standing outside the designated restaurant, it’s your last time to bail. You can see respective family members’ cars around the car park so you know they must be already inside. But you can’t see any of them, so chances are they haven’t seen you yet either. If you go any further it may be too late.
