Two against one, even if the one is you, isn't the kind of odds you like. You ease your body out the window and drop silently to the shadows below. You hear voices coming towards Valerie's bedroom and ease deeper into a small alcove.

"Let's go," you hear the man say. "He's not in here."

One minute later, you see two figures burst out of the front door. They race around a corner and a car starts up. In seconds the two of them have headed away, seeking... you.

• Turn the hunters into the hunted. Get a machine gun and try to track down and ambush the mysterious man and woman.
• Go to an underground hideout run by a friend of yours you met in prison. The man and woman would never be able to get to you there.
