You walk right in, finding the manager isn't hard, just look for the guy shouting angrily at the other guys and being a general pain in the ass. When they take a break, you figure this is as good a time as any and approach him. He raises an eyebrow as you approach him.

"What're you lookin for? If your boyfriend's working here you can either find him here or downstairs." Well, that was an unsurprising greeting. "I'm not looking for my boyfriend, I'm looking for a job." He looks at you incredulously. "here? with that frame of yours? You couldn't even lift a sack of sand." Again, an unsurprising reply. You figure actions speak louder than words and walk over the sacks of sand lying in the corner. They're 25kg each. You confidently pick up two and raise them over your head relatively easily.

That wipes the scowl of his face. He whistles "Well will ya look at that." He grabs your arm and strokes your biceps. "Where the hell in the arm are the muscles to pull that off?" he asks incredulously, pushing his thumb into your biceps and easily sinking into your soft arm. You shrug and say "I've always been stronger than I look." Which is, actually, a massive lie since you were never anything resembling strong.

The manager steps back, releasing your arm. "Well, alright. If you can keep up with the guys, I won't risk getting some anti-sexist crew on my head. There's always plenty of manual labor to be done here so you can get started right away. I'll pay you the same as the rest of em at 5$ an hour and free lunch." It isn't much, but enough to get by, working 8 hours a day for a month you'd earn about 800$. "So, break's over guys, get your arses back into it."

Your new-found strength allows you to leave most of the guys in your dust, and you're far from at 100% yet. You make a mental not to not work any faster than this even wgen you fully recover, you don't wanna draw too much attention. As it is, you're allready pulling attention as the only female around and showing such brute strength despite your lithe frame and thin, soft arms. not to mention the lecherous looks the men give you as you work.

Finally, the working day is over and the manager pays you 25$ for the 5 hours you worked today. You highly doubt you could get him to borrow you anything to find a place to stay. Also, the hunger inside you is growing worse and you feel like you won't be able to work tomorrow unless you.. find yourself something to "eat". You've never tried feeding yet since you became a vampire, it might be possible to feed off of someone without killing or turning them.. or it might not be possible.
