You can't just sit around in some strange alley for hours so you decide to make your way home.
If you stick to back yards and side streets you think you can make it without a lot of people seeing you.
You make it unseen, at least by people on the street, for several streets ducking into alleys when you spot someone.
Then as you are in between alleys with nowhere to hide a police car comes around a corner and the officer spots you immediately.
Like a deer in the headlights you stand there naked as the patrol car pulls up and the officer gets out of the car.
You notice a few people standing at their windows watching you and realize someone must have spotted you and called the cops.
