The Zoo/Take him to the rocks

You help the otter across the enclosure to the tall, rock outcropping. Closer, you can tell the 'rocks' are man-made, carved from concrete to resemble stone. You don't care. Whoever built it thoughtfully arranged the rocks to form many small caves. Most are occupied. You can hear noises coming from the darkness inside and can smell the musky scent of animal sex.
You find a cave that doesn't appear to belong to anyone. You see no footprints leading in or coming out, and the air smells fresh.
"In here," you say to Oscar and this time, when he looks up at you, you know it's you he's afraid of. He enters the cave anyway and you follow. The light is dim inside, but you can see that the cave is small, just tall enough for you to stand up and about eight feet from front to back and six from side to side. It's bigger than a jail cell, though.
Oscar turns to you, swallowing hard before speaking. "Thank you for taking me away from him," he squeaks. "I- I had no idea you were so...violent."
