"Mark was first so it's he's the one buying!"
Mark looks crestfallen as the other students snigger.
"Let's find somewhere to get drunk!" The room echos with cheers as you lead them out and head to the student bar.
Once there you order a round of beers for everyone and tell Mark that he doesn't have to buy you anything. However, as you're nearing the end of your first drink he puts two shots of vodka on the table next to you. "I'm probably never going to see you again," he whispers, "so I'm going to say something I've been dying to for the past year."
He picks up one of the shot glasses a gulps the contents, wincing slightly as he swallows it.
"You're amazing. I wish you were my girlfriend instead of my teacher. You don't know how difficult it's been to concentrate on my studies in your classes." He glows red with embarrassment, grabs the other glass, and downs the shot. "I'm sorry."
"I'm flattered. Don't be embarrassed."
"Yeah, right. You're just being polite."
"No. Truly."
