Take a break and use your spell book to break the barrier.

From Create Your Own Story

You're a student of magic, not a fighter, so you take the half-orc's advice and together you settle down just outside the barrier. You realize you got lucky, because once you begin identifying and dispelling the barrier, you realize it's a complex web of curses, summons, and lighting traps.

The half-orc sits back and watches you work, staring at your ass as you kneel down to read from your book. You catch him in the corner of your eye, and it doesn't look like he has any thoughts. His eyes just naturally gravitate toward something so perfectly tight and smooth. You humor him a bit as you move about dispelling, giving a little extra sway and pop to your hips that you hadn't before.

"Thanks for saving me," he says as you take apart the spell. "I don't know why you're here, but I'll help if I can. It's the least I can do."

The first stage of dispelling the barrier begins and you know it will take a while of your magic to bore through and weaken the curse's hold over the other effects. You wonder if there's anything you can do to pass the time.
