The days go by rather quickly, you feed on a diet of sea moss and weeds growing on the cave walls, your betentacled mate having left you to raise your brood alone. You begin to notice small changes day by day. At first, it's mostly your legs, over a small period of one week your legs become entirely covered in the brown material.
They also become covered with sucker-like growths, with which you fend off fish attempting to enter your lair rather easily, occasionally even catching and eating one. Over time they split into four tentacle legs, connected by a net of webbing and your vagina re-positioning itself closer to your belly button, and your anus moving to be directly in the middle of your four limbs.
Next, your upper body changes, taking on the same texture but in a lighter tone, your arms becoming rubbery and flexible, elongating themselves and covering in suckers, while still maintaining a generally human shape. Your pregnancy has also advanced and your organs have become simplified and interrelated - you feel your anus, womb, and esophagus fusing together, allowing eggs to be deposited or expelled from any of your orifices.
Your brood conglomerates and grows there in the center of your body, growing, nearly ready to be born. Something tells you your transformation into a new species is not finished. What do you do?
