You briefly shift into Zoe, making sure her primitive body functions don't die when she expires from oxygen deprivation by infusing her with a small flicker of undead animation energy.

Then you shift back to the motel clerk to stop him from panicking. Then you wait. It takes perhaps an hour before Zoe stirs. You even take the time to handle a few guests, and you make coffee for yourself.

"Wha... what happened...? I feel really weird..." she groans when she finally comes to.

"Shh... You're okay now. Don't worry. You can't think straight because you died before you came back, and your brain took some damage."

She tries to say something else, but she's run out of air.

"Don't forget to breathe. You don't need to breathe any longer, but you still need air to talk," you helpfully tell her. You wait patiently while she struggles with this information.

Finally she draws a breath and asks, "So you mean I'm dead now?"

"Technically, yes. But you can still move. And you can still fuck. In fact, while I think you no longer need food and water, you do need sex."

"You mean I don't have to breathe and eat and still I need to fuck?"

"Let me underscore my point. Do you feel this?" You pinch her clitoris.

"Ow... yes!" And a second later: "Oh, OH. That felt wonderful!"
