Say no, you are too busy

From Create Your Own Story

"No, I'm a little busy, maybe later?" you say. His cheerful expression slides off his face.

"Oh." he says in a faraway voice. "Right. Busy..."

"Well, if, you know, if you need me, or if I... maybe, can join your team...?" He trails off hopefully.

"What?" you say in surprise. "What's, like, y'know, 'joining a team'?" His face lights up. "I will tell you."

"Joining a team means a bond. It means no one in the team can betray each other. It means that you, if you leave the team, cannot tell anything secretive about the team unless the only person in it was them. It means true friendships. It means that everyone can confide, but only if they wish to. It means a pact, if you are skilled enough."

"Now... can I join?" Embarrased, you lower your head and say, "I haven't got one you can join," softly. He says, "Choose a name. But there are only three names you may choose from, as is the rule. Now... repeat after me to get the names."

"I agree to form a team. I agree to stay true to it, respect it and invite those who I trust. I agree to treat others within it responsibly and devote my attention to it as long as I or it lasts. I," he pauses. " I (state your name), agree to the rules." He nods. "That's it."
