You run as fast as you can in the direction of the girl, the man, and the bus, hoping to use your own body to get the bus to stop.
Unfortunately, buses move faster than you do. By the time you get there you don't have time to get in front of the bus. The man's hands are already extending toward the girl's back and you have only a split second to decide what to do now.
