You decide to leave your Pokémon in it's Pokéball. Lots of people have done it, and will continue to do it, so what's wrong with leaving your Pokémon where it belongs. There isn't a downside. You start walking away from where you were standing, when you feel a twitch at your belt. You look down. Your Pokéball is moving! And out springs your Pokémon.
