Before you can make your decision a woman in her thirties, and dressed in a business suit with a knee-length skirt, approaches the counter. Her blonde hair is tied into a ponytail, and she wears a pair of thick black glasses.
"Excuse me, I couldn't help but overhear." she says. "You have no money to buy these shoes?"
"No ma'am." you reply, your head bowed with shame.
"I'll buy them for you."
Much to your surprise, the woman reaches into her purse and withdraws a small bundle of notes. She hands these over to the cashier, who quickly counts the money and rings it through to the till. Athena sidles over towards you.
"That's very generous, Miss...?" she asks.
"Call me Elizabeth." the woman responds.
"Might I ask why you're buying them for Sonia?"
"Well, I did have a small favour to ask in exchange..."
