Good thought, this place can get cold. And besides, you don't want to be the worst dressed person on the street; that just screams tourist.
Well, Berlin is the city of "cool" in the modern age, and it doesn't take long for you to find a store selling some nice clothes. You speak German like a native, now, and after an hour or so of banter with the clerks, dressing rooms, and price tags, you've switched out your boring skirt and sweater for a strapless top, wool jacket, jeans and boots. The top may not be the warmest thing, but who cares? You're young and free in Berlin, and nothing can stop you.
