After finishing the ice cream between small talk and comfortable silences, you tell Katy, "I can walk you home if you'd like."
"I think that'd be nice," she says, with a big smile.
The two of you set out hand-in-hand, but as you get to Katy's neighborhood, an older boy spots you and stands in your way. "What are you doing with this dweeb, Katy?" he sneers, giving you a good shove in the chest. This bully is probably about a head taller than you and Katy, but you, as an immortal demon, know a few things about fighting. You think you could take him easily.
"Leave us alone, Mark!" Katy tells him defiantly. "It's none of your business who I hang out with."
"It is absolutely my business," he says leeringly, drawing up to his full height, "to look after cute little girls like yourself. Wouldn't want you to get hurt wandering around with strangers."
