Megan:PassTheBat

From Create Your Own Story

You shake your head to clear your mind, walking back to your seat next to Vanessa and dropping into it. Together, the two of you make short work of the charts and get your posterboard finished up without incident.

"Not half bad, is it?" Vanessa asks, taking a step back and admiring the finished product.

Looking at it, you admit that it doesn't look half bad. With the two of you working together, you do indeed get some good work done. It alm-

"Argh, quit fucking stalling and kill her! You're running out of time, you idiot!"

It almost seems li-

"Are you fucking listening to me or not? Find a way to kill her, and find it fast."

IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE YOU COULD HAVE A NORMAL DAY HANGING OUT WITH VANESSA IF THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD WOULD SHUT UP.

The lack of an immediate response from the voice surprises you, and Vanessa pats you on the back.

"Gotta hand it to ya, Meg. You do a damn good job at cuttin' charts out." Vanessa laughs, motioning back over her shoulder and out the door. "Y'think you'd mind helping me out with a little project of mine? I'm trying to make a little chest of sorts to keep stuff in. I've got a bunch of wood in the garage."

Nodding, you follow her down the stairs, through the kitchen, and out a side-door into the Browns' garage, a nice sized two-car number with tons of shelves and tools neatly organized on them and a couple of other various racks in the room. One of the tools, a sharp looking handsaw, seems to glow and stand out among the rest. You have trouble keeping your eyes off of it, and only when Vanessa knees by a pile of various boards of wood does she manage to get your attention by asking if you could grab it for her. She has her back turned to it, and the voice in your head laughs.

"Perhaps you've done well in waiting this long, girl. Do not disappoint me this time."
