You hear footsteps heading down the stairs. Valerie is presumably saying good-bye to Megan.

You chill for a bit, have a nice dinner, and head back to your room. The next day, you get on the school bus to be greeted by your friend Emily.

"Where were you yesterday?" she asks, concerned. "I didn't see you around."
