Turns out it was weird - very, very weird. Seems that your new buddy learned a lot of bad shower habits during his 3 to 5 year 'vacation'. The good news is that a caring, brotherly friendship develops over time - you literally have no choice as he is in pretty good shape and a lot bigger than you. You do wind up on a boat one day, however, you are just the cabin boy.
