You place the two items in your hands and stand by the doorway.

As soon as a figure in a police uniform approaches, you swing the bat at him. He ducks under your attack and kneels you in the stomach. You feel an incredible amount of pain. He throws you to the ground and wraps his arm around your neck. His strength surprises you.

"Don't fucking move or I'll break your worthless neck," the policeman growls at you.

A policewoman enters the room and holsters her gun. She goes over to Valerie's body and checks her pulse.

"She's dead."

"Revive her," the man replies.

The woman looks at him, annoyed.

"You can't save her," she tells her partner. "Let's just kill fuckhead and get out of here."

"Listen to me," the man snarls. "Her heart couldn't have stopped beating too long ago. Otherwise, this shitbag would have left the room. She has at least three minutes before her brain dies. Get her heart beating again."

"And what?" the policewoman yells at him. "If I bring her back to life, we have a witness to worry about."

"There's no time to argue," the man says. "Bringing her back is going to help our reputation. Quit fucking around and do it."

Something tells you these people aren't really police officers.
