You decide to give up and go home, when you get there you sit down and think where you went wrong and the answer seems obvious, you went out on a whim with no planning or forethought and managed to waste what could have been a good opportunity for fun.

At least your still alive and in one piece and the day didn't end in some disaster at least you can go upstairs trawl the internet for some porn and jerk off so it's not all bad.
