Go back to the daddy in the hallway

The daddy bear smiles as you approach again, giving you a salute with his beer bottle.
"I like your shirt," you say, gesturing to the yellow letters spelling out DADDY across his shirt.
He laughs. "There's something to be said for a simple message."
You nod, feeling a little awkward.
"Haven't seen you here before," he says.
"It's my birthday," you admit. "First time here."
"Happy Birthday," he says, then raises an eyebrow. "Maybe I can get you a t-shirt for your birthday. What would you like it to say?"
You open your mouth to answer, but then something strange happens. The lights go really dim.
“It’s Friday night!” a man’s voice announces over some sort of speaker. “Time for Blackout at the Midtown Pub!”
The bar has been filling up for some time, and at the dimming, there are cheers. You look around, confused.
“Blackout night,” the daddy bear says, over the hoots and hollers.
“What’s blackout night?” you ask.
He laughs. “Last Friday every month, the lights go down, and the place gets wild.”
“Oh,” you say.
He steps a little closer to you in the dim light.
"So, what would you like on your t-shirt?"
