You pause for a minute or two, gathering yourself, before you carefully slip back inside. You silently close the door behind you.

"It almost worked," says a female voice.

"We did get one," says a male voice. You hold still and look around with your eyes, but still can't see anybody. "The hard part is that we aren't allowed to harm any innocents or we lose our Heavenly powers."

"That's why the archons have to be very careful," the female voice purrs. "If they attack anyone except the horsemen, they lose their power. It's easier for us, because with holy water as a weapon, if it hits a bystander they just get wet."

"Still, it was a dumb move to attack War," snaps the male voice. "Didn't Justice realize that War grows stronger in a conflict situation?"

"I know," the female sighs. "He should have focused only on Death and taken her out. Well, lesson learned."

"The nice thing is that we have an unlimited supply of holy water," the male voice continues. "All we have to do is find the three remaining horsemen and ambush them. Well, let's move out."

You hear steps coming directly towards you, but still see nothing. "Well, hello," the woman giggles. "I suppose you're off to tell Famine what you heard. We don't really care, dearie. I'm sure she could have figured it out on her own. Besides, knowing you're under attack and being able to stop it are two different things."

The man chuckles. "Especially when you can't see your attacker. Are you sure you don't want to switch sides, Mr. Demonic Spirit possessing a short fat woman? You must know that we're going to win."
