Go after Alex, try to talk to him, M

From Create Your Own Story

You slowly push yourself up from the chair, your legs unsteady beneath you. Tyler's eyes brim with tears as she turns to Nathan. "You didn't have to speak to Alex that way," she says, her voice quivering. You look down, not wanting to get in the middle of their argument.

Nathan sniffs loudly, rubbing his sleeve across his nose. "We can't ignore this. If we leave it up to Alex, he'll just brush it under the rug like he always does."

You clear your throat, grasping the back of the chair for support. "I'm going to go check on Alex, make sure he's alright... Sorry"

You stumble outside into the hazy late-night light. There's no sign of Alex at first, but you know him well enough to wander down the path a ways. Past the science buildings, past the footbridge. And that's where you find him, perched on the iron fence overlooking the river that runs through campus.

His shoulders are hunched, his dark hair falling across his forehead. You hesitate for a moment, then walk over and lean against the fence beside him. For a while you just stand there in silence, the breeze rippling across the water.

"You okay?" you finally ask.

Alex shrugs, keeping his eyes fixed on the river. "They shouldn't have ganged up on me like that. It wasn't fair."

You nod slowly. "I know. But they're just worried about you."

"I don't need them to worry about me," Alex mutters.

As you take a step forward, hand out reached to offer some contact, Alex suddenly seems to shift, his eyes narrow on your form, and he may as well have snarled for how clearly he let you know not to touch him. The breeze picks up strands of his hazel hair, and his brown eyes shift back to the water.

"You're such a fucking hypocrite. Getting off on listening, doing what we did, and you think me giving Johnson a blowjob is bad?"
