From Create Your Own Story

Today I got to hang out with Jace. He's easily the coolest guy I know, and just talking to him can make any bad day into a good one. He's so nice, too. He lives in the neighborhood over, and he walked me home. We saw the girl who lives down the street from me, Megan, and the three of us had a really quick conversation about the weather. It was weird though, she didn't seem normal, she seemed like she was worried or antsy or something. She's always been like that though. My parents said something happened to her when she was a kid, but they've never told me what happened...

Oh, and I had another nightmare last night. This one was worse, though. Very vivid, very realistic-feeling, like I was actually there. I was lost in these tunnels underneath some sort of ruin somewhere. I had a flashlight, but the batteries kept dying and then coming back on, flickering, dying, and just doing that all of the time, every few friggin' minutes. What's weirder is that I knew the tunnels. I could feel it. I could feel that there was supposed to be a turn here, an exit there, and that kind of stuff. Thing is, those corners and exits weren't there, and that seemed to terrify me.

I started screaming for help - not the dream-screaming where no sound comes out, I could hear it - as loudly as I could. I screamed until my throat couldn't take it, and then I tried to scream some more. All that came out was a squeak followed by a cough with blood. Being a dream, time was way out of proportion to what it should have been, and I was already severely dehydrated. My head was pounding, throat bleeding, and I was dizzy. I fell against the side wall to hold myself up and ended up sliding down onto the ground instead. Then there was the tiredness. I could feel a slight breeze coming from in front of me though, somewhere down the tunnel. I was too dizzy and tired to stand, so I just started crawling. God knows how long I desperately crawled down that tunnel, but I eventually gave in, allowed myself to drop to the floor, and began shaking. Shortly after, I woke up covered in sweat as my heart pounded inside my chest. I had a sore throat for a few hours, but, like yesterday's chest pain, it went away on its own eventually.

God, I really do hope I get some normal sleep tonight. Can't wait to talk to Jace, either. Despite what everyone says and thinks, I don't "like" him, he's just a really good friend of mine.
